Most of us think of dressing up at Halloween as just a bit of fun, but did you know that your choice of Halloween costume can reveal your personality. Maybe the character mask you put on reveals more about you than it hides! What did you wear last year? Were you a Superhero or maybe a Sexy Siren? Or did you dress-up like a cartoon character or a famous murderer?
All of these can reveal personality traits:
1. If you dress up as a particular person, unrelated to Halloween, you could be playing it safe and staying within your comfort zone.
2. If you go for a very sexy costume, unlike anything you would normally wear, maybe you are repressing a sexual side to your nature.
3. Do you like to be Spiderman, Batman or another Superhero? Then you have a childlike fantasy of fighting to make the world a better place. You also may have a secret desire to be admired and looked up to.
4. Dressing up in a Fairy Princess or Peter Pan costume can indicate your desire to 'never grow up'.
5. Animal costumes represent your wanting to have the instincts and characteristics of whatever animal you choose. For example being a cat can mean you like your independence or maybe your wish for freedom that you don't have.
6. Dressing as a vampire, witch or ghoul can have two different meanings. As these are the traditional costumes associated with Halloween it can indicate a love of tradition and of sticking to the 'rules'. Alternatively, if you like to wear scary costumes in can mean you have a desire to get in touch with your darker side.
Whatever you like to wear for Halloween, the most important thing is that you and your kids enjoy it!
