Football Crazy Wall Clock

Do you know someone who is football crazy? Is your Dad a footy nut? Is your brother a soccer Fanatic? This is possibly the bestest Crimbo pressie you can make them. You can make it fit any football team of your choosing, or add an assortment of football teams. You could also adapt this idea to make a net-ball, basketball, or rugby clock.

To make a Football Crazy Wall Clock you will need...

Paint, thick card or an old grocery box, a clock mechanism and clock hands (you will find these at craft shops) and a print out of pattern of football shirts which is available at the link below.

Colour the football shirts in the team抯 strip you choose. You can colour them randomly if you wish. Number each shirt 1 to 12.

To make the clock face, draw around a large dinner plate or a tea tray onto some card. An old grocery box is great. Cut out two identical circles, and glue them together so that the lines in the cards structure cross, this will give the clock face extra strength.

Once the glue is dry, paint the clock face green. Again leave to dry. With white paint, paint on a centre line through the middle of the clock face, and paint a kick off circle in the middle of the clock.

Push a pencil through the centre of the clock face ready to attach the clock mechanism. Be very careful and use the old Plasticine trick - Put a ball of Plasticine on the table, put your card on top of it where you need the hole to be, and push the pencil through the card and into the Plasticine.

Arrange the football shirts on the clock face and stick them down.

Push the clock spindle through the hole and push on the hands. The mechanism has a hole for hanging the clock on the wall.

Put a battery in the clock and set the time.

About Emotional Child Abuse And Neglect

Any child who experience any form of physical or emotional maltreatment is likely to bear emotional scars. For this reason it is necessary to use the following broad definition. A child is emotionally abused if he/she is:

(1.) Under the age 18

(2.) Subjected to non-accidental, serious physical or mental injury, sexual abuse or exploitation

(3.) He/she undergoes serious physical or emotional neglect caused by acts or omissions of the child鈥檚 parents or other persons responsible for the child鈥檚 welfare.

It is important to note that there are also other forms of child abuse as well. Emotional or psychological abuse is the least understood and hardest to prove form of child abuse though. Nevertheless, emotional child abuse and neglect may be the most common and damaging forms of child abuse.

It is generally agreed that a child suffering in any of the following areas may be a victim of emotional neglect:

(1.) Inadequate physical care

(2.) Absence of medical attention

(3.) Inadequate medical care.

(4.) Cruel or abusive treatment

(5.) Improper supervision

(6.) Exploitation of the child鈥檚 earning capacity

(7.) Unlawfully keeping the child out of school

(8.) Exposing the child to criminal or immoral influences that endanger her/his morals.

You must understand that any type of child abuse, such as physical or sexual abuse, can also involve emotional abuse or neglect. 90% of the time, parents are responsible for committing child abuse, including emotional abuse and neglect. Fathers and mothers are nearly equally responsible for committing emotional child abuse and neglect. Of course, caretakers and other family members can also commit emotional child abuse and neglect.

The reasons why parents emotionally abuse their children are many and complex. Mostly because parents have different circumstances and personalities, and children vary widely in their health and behavior. Most neglectful parents are isolated and have difficulty forming relationships or performing the routine tasks of daily life. Many of these parents are also burdened by anger and sadness because of unmet childhood needs and difficult current circumstances. Due to all of these reasons, neglectful parents find it hard to constantly recognize and meet the needs of his/her children.

Here are some common traits and themes that are found within most neglectful parents:

(1.) Most neglectful parents are unable to plan.

(2.) Most neglectful parents are indifferent to their behavior toward their children.

(3.) Most neglectful parents lack knowledge about how to meet their children鈥檚 needs.

(4.) Most neglectful parents have had unhappy childhoods.

(5.) Many neglectful parents are experiencing financial or emotional stress.

(6.) Many neglectful parents are socially isolated and have few or no friends and little contact with relatives.

It is true that in many cases, unhappy parents project their day-to-day frustrations onto their children.

Bounce House Inflatables Can Pump Up Your Company Picnic

Now is the time of year when a lot of companies are planning their annual family picnic. You might be thinking, what can we do this year to make the picnic a little better than last year. Of course you will have the usual barbeque chicken, hot dogs and hamburgers. You will more than likely have the traditional potato sack race, but what if this year you came up with something a little more exciting, something like and inflatable bounce house?

The company family picnic is a time for the families of the company to come together and get a little closer. The bounce house will do just that for the kids that come.

Children love the activity of jumping up and down in a bounce house. They love the bigness of the structures, and they love the colors. Once they enter, it is hard to get them out, and at the end of the day they have had more fun then ever and will always remember that.

There are other types of inflatables that are also a fabulous idea to have at a company picnic. A big favorite are the giant clear plastic inflatable spheres. These are fast moving balls that are propelled by the participant's movement. They are the perfect alternative to the boring potato sack relay race. They can also be used for solo fun.

You can also erect and inflatable soccer field complete with soft walls, and bouncy goal posts. The soccer games will go on all day, and soccer moms will feel right at home.

It will probably be a warm day when your company picnic day arrives. Why not have a mega water slide? These inflatables will keep the kids cool while they play and are the perfect answer when your location does not have a pool.

If your location is large enough and your budget allows for several units, you can make the inflatables the theme for your picnic. Inflatables are things that get pumped up and your picnic can be a fun way to pump up the motivation of the staff.

Many inflatables come in different themes such as island and safari. Consider the possibilities of using the inflatables to create an atmosphere. A tropical inflatable bounce house with a big wave water slide could create the perfect environment to accompany barbequed Hawaiian chicken or Jamaican Jerk.

An elephant water slide and a lion bounce house would be the perfect match for an African safari picnic. The possibilities are as endless as the choices in inflatables.

What ever you choose, a bounce house, a water slide, or personal spheres, inflatables will make your company picnic a big hit, and the staff will talk about it and will anxiously look forward the next one.

Candle Making For Beginners

When you make candles for the first time, you will have a memorable experience. Everyone enjoys candles. You can use candles in a variety of ways to decorate your home. Making candles as a beginner can be done simply through the use of some everyday kitchen utensils and equipment.

To start you can use the two most common ingredients: paraffin wax or beeswax. Paraffin is often the preferred ingredient since it is cheaper. However, if you have the money for beeswax this option provides you with a smoother texture.

For dyes you can simply use food coloring since most people have this on hand and if not it is easy to purchase at any grocery store. Simply add the dye coloring at the beginning of the process and then mix thoroughly with the wax while melting.

The only thing you have to purchase extra when making candles is the essential oils used for scent. Common essential oils used for candle making include lavender, jasmine, lemon and Citronella. However, there are a number of scents you can choose from. Simply choose a scent that pleases you and then add it just before the wax mixture starts to cool. If you add the oils when the wax is at a high temperature you can cause them to evaporate.

Next, you simply pour the melted wax mixture in a mould of your choice. For a cheap alternative to buying molds at the craft store, you can simply use empty soda cans, yogurt boxes, milk cartons or any other wax lined container you may have in your house.

If you don't have a mould, you can use the old-fashioned dipping process to make your candle. With this method, you use a taut wick and repeatedly dip it into the melted wax until you achieve an appropriate thickness.

A unique option to consider is to use sheets of wax and roll them into candles. When you roll different colored wax sheets together, you can get a rich color combination for your finished product. The advantage of using this method is that it doesn't require a lot of heating.

Yet another choice for those new to candle making is the sand wax candle. You can mix wax powders without having to melt them. The combination of wax powder is then placed in a suitable container in order to make your preferred candle.

Making candles can be the perfect way to provide a wonderful gift to someone on special occasions. This is often the main reason why many get into the candle-making field. Others choose to make candles because it provides them pleasure.

If you go to a store, you will see a wide variety of candles being sold and often they can be quite expensive. This is another good reason to try your hand at candle making. There are many online starter kits that can help you quickly get started with candle making. Consider some tips below that you can use as a beginner to candle making.

First, you have to find the materials you need. You can look for these online or in specialty shops. Often a craft store will have all the supplies you need. These stores are also a good idea since they provide a wide selection of waxes and moulds as well as the standard equipment you will need like thermometers, wooden spoons and a double boiler.

Once you have all your materials ready you can prepare the wax. First, you need to break it into small portions. While doing this you should use the double boiler to boil some water. Once the water has boiled, you can add the waxes. Use the candle thermometer to make sure the mixture reaches 160 degrees.

Next, is the process of adding colors and scents. This can be the most difficult process for beginners and requires individuals to follow some specific instructions. When the mixture is close to done you can add your preferred scent and color. Perspective is key and you should only add a few drops of coloring.

Now you need to prepare the wick by cutting it into pieces based on your desired candle length. Dip the wick several times in the wax and then allow it to cool. Repeat this process until you have the desired candle size.

Lastly, once the candle has cooled completely you can trim the wick and enjoy your lovely new candle the process you just took to make your beautiful and wonderful scented candle.

Sharing the Load of Parenting With Your Spouse

When you start a family, it is always surprising to find out how much time and energy it takes to keep up with the children. There are always more chores to be done, diapers to change, and the children can be very demanding at times. The best solution to get through the child-rearing years is to have a good working relationship with your spouse so that you can share the duties together.

One of the biggest complaints by mothers is that they are constantly picking up after their children-- and their husbands! It is important that both parents work together to clean up toys, blankets and bedding, dirty dishes and food. 5 minutes of a quick clean up can really make a big difference in the comfort and stress level of your home.

Make sure that each parent has their own person time without the children. Although it may seem that your household and children need care and attention 24 hours a day, it is still important to take some time for yourself when you can do what you want to do without having to worry about the kids. Talk with your spouse and schedule personal time for each of you, even write it on the calendar so that it is a commitment that you need to follow. Make sure that you spouse knows when the time is scheduled so that they can care for the children while you are taking your own time.

Share the duties between mom and dad. Too many families get stuck in the rut of always following the same chores, and 1 parent can quickly get burned out if they are doing all of the dirty work. Discuss what needs to be done and split up the work evenly so that you are working together as a team.

As you work together to manage your household and raise your kids you will find that you have more satisfaction in being a parent and you will also have a better relationship with your spouse.

Proven Ways to Save $100's on Your Heating Bill That 95% of Us Are Not Aware Of!

Winter is here! It's cold and if you are up north by where I live in Milwaukee the snow is blowing and it has already gotten below 0. And our heating bills are rising. Fortunately there are a lot of things we can do to reduce our energy consumption both now and in the summer when it is hot and we are spending our money on air conditioning bills. Most of us have already invested lot in energy efficiency from energy efficient windows, furnaces, air conditioners, refrigerators, etc.; the list goes on and on. However there is still one thing you can do to even further significantly reduce your energy efficiency in a serious way and it is something that most of us are not aware of and have never thought of.

Studies conducted show that strategic landscaping around its exterior can provide savings of up to 30 percent on heating costs and between 50 and 75 percent on air conditioning. The basic idea behind energy-efficient landscaping is to plant deciduous trees to block the summer sun and evergreen trees to block winter winds. Closely spaced evergreens with dense foliage all the way to the ground, such as blue spruce, make the best windblocks. In Wisconsin we have very strong Westerly winds that howl at speeds of excess of sometimes more than 50 mph. A windblock can cut wind velocity up to 80 percent, which can mean real savings on your heating bill. Protection from the hot sun on the roof and east/west sides of a home by landscaping with Shade Trees creates a significant cooling effect on the home.

Plant trees with a higher crown nearer to the house (but not on top of it) so it can shade the roof and trees with a lower canopy are useful to block the afternoon blinding sun as it sets on the west side of a home. Also by shading your air condition unit you can reclaim up to 10% more energy efficiency. One other thing to consider is that planting shrubs and bushes next to the home will help to insulate your home year round. To be most effective, a landscape plan should be tailored to your climate.

Home Herb Garden - 3 Reasons Why Herb Gardening is an Absolute Must!

Being an enthusiast about herb growing, it has become a mission of mine to encourage every household to have its own home herb garden. There are huge benefits of growing your own herbs which you cannot ignore.

First of all, you are improving your health by giving your body the freshest herbs possible. Freshly picked herbs are ideal because this is the time when the vitamin and mineral contents are the highest. You can use them in your cooking or sprinkled on your salads. Making teas from fresh herbs can be refreshing and relaxing.

Another way is to prepare tinctures which can be used to remedy certain ailments. Having a home herb garden in your front or backyard gives you a bit of exercise as well. It is a wonderful feeling working around your herbs outside and breathing in the fresh air, not to mention the feeling of calm that envelopes you as you lovingly touch your herbs!

The second benefit to consider is this: you are not dependent on the market supply of your favorite herbs. How many times have you made a special trip to the local supermarket to buy that special herb you needed that day, but it was not available for whatever reason? When you maintain your own home herb garden, you can have them available all year round. Cost wise, you only pay the initial price of the seeds or seedlings. This sounds like good economics, huh?

If you are truly enthusiastic about having an herb garden in your home, then collect the seeds after the flowering and save them for the next season. This way you avoid the cost of buying new plants or seeds. Also, use propagation to expand the stock of your herbs.

Propagating new plants is also the prefect time to make that special gift for someone. Just find a spare pot, plant the herb and... voil? You are not only giving away a potted herb. A part of yourself has gone into this herb as well, because you nourished and nurtured it with your own hands. You invested your time and love to grow that particular herb and who knows, that investment may pay off one day.....and that's the best benefit of all.

When I visit friends, I very often find myself checking out their gardens... I look at the general health of the plants, I pull out the weeds from the pots (they don't belong there!), and check the soil for adequate moisture. I should probably stop doing this but old habits are hard to break!

Herbs and plants in general are very special to me. I find that I can easily transport myself into a different world when I am around them. I truly believe that everybody should have their own home herb gardens. It doesn't matter whether outdoor or indoor...have at least a single pot!

Baby Jogging Strollers - Selecting the Right One

Jogging stroller are perhaps one of the best inventions made for the parent on the go.燭hey offer comfort for your children and provide the parents an amazing way to transport them.燫egardless if you are a jogger / runner, every parent in the market to purchase a stroller should give the jogging strollers a very serious look.

Once these strollers were thought of as a device to transport your children while the parents were running or jogging, thus their name. While they are still used widely by the exercising parents, today they are being used in virtually every other area.燭hey provide ease of navigation and storage for the parent and a ride that is unparalleled for the children.

Baby jogging strollers are available from numerous manufacturers each with their own price tag.燳ou can find a reasonably priced jogging stroller that will do most anything you need or you can spend a great deal of money for the strollers you see the celebrities pushing on television.燱ith so many manufacturers available today it can get confusing to determine which stroller is best for you.燭he answer is in the eye of the beholder.

Like any other product on the market today, the best way to find the stroller that suits you is research. Fortunately, the internet provides us with an excellent tool to conduct such an investigation.燫ead the reviews by other parents, shop around for the best buy and get the stroller of your dreams.燞aving such a large variety of selections to choose from also invites fierce competition among vendors.

Being the frugal person I am, we ended up selecting one of the Instep double jogging stroller models.燱e felt it was the best model for the money and offered the things we were really looking for in a stroller.營 am not saying this is the best, but I am suggesting that you at least put them in the mix and do some research on them.

How to Correctly Raise Bell Peppers

Bell peppers are a favorite crop among gardeners since it adds a distinct flavor to most dishes. This type of crop came from the North American and Central continent. Young bell pepper plants are usually color green. They turn red when they are full grown. Cultivating peppers are very easy to learn and an enjoyable hobby.

MATERIALS NEEDED IN GROWING BELL PEPPERS

The materials needed are garden plot, bell pepper seedlings, mulch, fertilizer and organic insecticide.

STEPS IN PLANTING BELL PEPPERS

Place the seeds in your plot 8 weeks before the frost by utilizing a container that is two inches wide or slightly bigger. But if the temperature or weather conditions outside is not good, wait for a few days before placing the seedlings that you have nurtured outside so that you can ensure that it will grow well. The temperature should be seventy to eighty-five degrees.

Prepare the land by placing a lot of treated manure, compost and fertilizer. The crops should have a space of eighteen to twenty-four inches between them. The rows should have a space of twenty-four to thirty-six inches apart. Do not forget to water the seedlings everyday, especially extremely hot months.

This type of crop likes a moist environment. If the soil does not have enough water, it will develop an unpleasant taste. Use mulch to prevent weeds from sprouting around the peppers and taking the moisture that is for the plant. Mulch can also help retain H2O in the soil. Use organic insecticide in your crops as much as it needs to prevent any pests from destroying the crops. Harvest the produce at any give time after they have developed at an acceptable size.

Aside from the color red, fully grown peppers can be purple or orange depending on their type. Clip the stem of the pepper to remove them from the main plant. The crop will continue to produce peppers until the onset of frost.

Remember that the germination time for the pepper seeds is 6-8 days. Place two tablespoons of fertilizer on each crop after the peppers started to develop.

This will help improve the quality of the plant. Keep the peppers in a place that have adequate humidity and a temperature of forty-five degrees to fifty-five degrees. Use a minimal portion of nitrogen in your crop since it will have a negative effect on the plant. It will just produce a bushy plant that possesses a minimum amount of peppers.

The Exotic Palm Tree

Whenever I think of exotic plants and trees one of the first which come to mind are palm trees. Many consider the Butia capitata as one of the most beautiful palms in the world. It originated in Brazil and Uruguay. It is also known as the Jelly Palm because of it edible red berries which can be harvested and made into a variety of sweets, jams & jellies.

The Jelly palm grows to around 5 meters tall, with a spread of 4 meters. Ideal soil type is clay/heavy, acidic, chalky/alkaline, and moist. Another wonderful palm is the Mexican blue fan palm. It has a stiff, blue-green fan-shaped leaf radiating in a crown from the apex of the trunk. The flower seed spikes extend out in beautiful light-yellow arches. A mature tree grows to a height of about 12 meters.

One of the larger of the palms is the Bismarckia nobilis palm. Bismarckia nobilis is native to the island of Madagascar which is off the east coast of Africa. It is a purplish-blue color, and is quite rare. This palm may reach an ultimate height of 18 meters with a spread of 6 meters or more. Each of its fronds weighs about 9kg. Because it is drought tolerant and not as subject to disease as some other palm species it is becoming very popular. Obviously, due to its size, it is best planted where there is plenty of space, not in a small yard.

The Caryota, or fishtail palm, comes from the mountainous regions of northern India, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka. Their leaflets are jagged at the distal end, reminding one of a fish`s tail. They can grow to over 25 meters tall. Be careful of the seeds of the Caryota, as the fruit has irritating crystals which can cause much discomfort.

The Burretiokentia hapala palm comes from New Caledonia, in the South Pacific. It is a relatively fast growing palm. Then there`s the Pritchardia hildebrandii, or the loulu palm, from Hawaii, with its yellow-green fan-shaped leaves. It loves the sun and can certainly be termed as very exotic.

One palm not to get too close to is the Trithrinax acanthocoma, or the spiny fiber palm. It has hairy needle-shaped spines on the trunk. Grows to around 6 meters tall. Thick, stiff, erect, dark green fan-shaped leaves, and a trunk with an incredibly intricate pattern of leaf bases, it is a stunning sight. It can be considered rather hardy, and certainly grows well and actually thrives in some gardens in the south of the UK. It needs rich, moist soil and plenty of water in dry weather. Although it does best in full sun, it can also accommodate cooler temperatures.

Shopping For Baby - A Guide For New Parents

Becoming a parent for the first time can be a bit overwhelming and one of the problems that many new parents face is what to buy for their new arrival and when to start buying.燤ost parents will want to start buying things before the actual birth but there are so many options available it can be difficult to know which is an essential item and what can be left behind in the store.

As a parent I faced the very same challenge and through my experience I have learned that one of the worst things you can do is go shopping for your baby items without having a clear list of what you need, chances are if you are unsure of what to buy or how much to buy you will arrive home with too much of some things and only realise later that some items have been overlooked.

It is a natural tendency for new parents to over buy, having a baby is an exciting time for anyone, whether it is a first or third baby it is still one of the favourite pastimes of expectant parents to go baby shopping. ?/p>

Tips for buying for your new baby

Don't buy everything you think is cute, especially if this is your first baby.燳ou will receive many of the "cute" items from relatives and friends so leave the Christmas Santa outfit in the store, if your baby is due around Christmas or any other celebration you can expect to receive a festive gift from at least one well wisher.

Buy the essentials early on.燳ou will need a crib, pram or stroller, a diaper bag, a bottle sterilizer (if you are bottle feeding) baby bedding, feeding equipment, pacifiers (optional) baby blankets, newborn clothes and a few extras for the hospital stay.

You will not need, a crib mobile (cute, but non-essential and usually received as a gift) multiple outfits (buy a few, but not a whole wardrobe, babies grow very quickly) and many extras like bottle warmers and heated wipe holders etc.

Spread the cost.營f you are going to purchase all your baby items from one store check if they have an option to put a deposit on the bigger items and if they will allow you to spread the cost over a few months.燭his way allows you more freedom and helps you to budget, it also means that your purchases are secure and will be available to you exactly when you need them without the need to store them unused at home for weeks before the delivery.營t also (depending on the store) allows you to change an item, which is a great way to deal with surprises (like the sex of your baby for instance or even twins!)

Make a baby list.燡ust like you would make a list for a wedding, many people will want to buy gifts for your baby, or perhaps even throw you a baby shower, if you make a list of the things you really want it can save on duplicates as well as giving you the choice to leave some items that you would rather choose yourself, off the list.

Lastly, enjoy shopping for your new baby, once you know you have all the essentials sorted and hopefully you will be on budget, this is when you can choose to buy those little extras, a first teddy bear or first Easter outfit, whatever you choose you can buy those non essentials and be secure in knowing that the must have items are taken care of.

Funny Baby Clothes

If adults are allowed to have an attitude and flaunt it through their clothes, can babies be far behind? Today抯 trendy parents want trendier babies dressed in clothes that make a statement. And humor is an essential part of what is cool, hip and in.

There is a whole industry that caters to funny baby clothes. There is, however, nothing funny about the garments themselves -- they have to be comfortable, functional and skin-friendly, as per the standards. It is the writing on the wall ?in this case, the clothes ?that makes them funny!

Visualize a baby boy wearing a perfectly ordinary top carrying a message, ""If I can reach it, I can wreck it."" Or think of a pretty little girl blinking innocently, while her tee shirt announces, æ' cry only when cuddled by ugly grown-ups.?A baby being fed lovingly by its mother might carry the warning, æ' spill at will?on its bib. Now, that is funny!

The craze for funny baby clothes has spawned an entire clothing segment that deals specifically with emblazoning baby clothes and baby accessories like bibs, caps and hats with funny messages. It does not matter that the babies themselves may be too young to read the deadly one-liners ?what does matter is that a funny style statement has been made.

Fortunately, it is not too difficult to look for clothes with an attitude ?unlike designer baby clothes, they are easily available, and, as many parents believe, much more chic and affordable.

Cultivating Hybrid Tea Roses

The modern Hybrid tea rose is the descendant rose which replaced the favorites of the Victorians, the hybrid perpetual roses. Hybrid tea roses are hardy and deciduous shrubs, that produce flowers freely over a long flowering season, usually between June and October. Hybrid tea roses have developed into some of the best loved of roses, equaling the popularity of the floribunda rose and the Modern shrub roses.

Because of their growth habit, Hybrid tea roses are very sought-after by florists, as their long flower stems make them the ideal roses for cutting and showing in vases. Should you ever receive a single rose, or better yet a dozen roses, the likelihood is, that they are one of the many varieties of Hybrid tea roses.

Their foliage can be either matt or glossy; usually a mid to deep green in color and some varieties will often produce a flush of red, especially on their younger foliage. Their leaves consist of 7 ovate leaflets, and their stems are often long and slender with some varieties sporting few prickles and other varieties many. Roses, by the way, don't have thorns in the true sense of the word, they have prickles.

Hybrid tea roses, like most roses, prefer full sun but many are tolerant of a light partial shade. They thrive best in a fertile well drained soil with a pH balance of between 6.0 and 6.9, a soil that is full of nutrition because, like all roses, they are greedy feeders.

They come in a multitude of colors from the white of Rosa 'Message' through to the peach pink flowers of Rosa 'Bonsoir' to the rich pure yellow of Rosa 'King's Ransom' to the crimson scarlet of a Rosa 'Ena Harkeness'. There is seemingly no color that is not available to the Hybrid teas.

The flowers of Hybrid teas are usually double in form but singles do also exist. Some varieties that sport a large and densely petalled flower can have these damaged by long spells of continuous rain, whereas other varieties can be fully opened but short lived in strong uninterrupted sunshine.

Many of the older more established varieties of the Hybrid tea roses have a superb perfume, but unfortunately, many haven't. If like me, you consider a rose without a perfume has lost a great deal of its appeal, then it may be worth asking your local rose grower for his advice for an alternative should you find your first choice lacking.

Some nurserymen and established rose growers recommend that Hybrid teas should be allocated a bed of their own, as they don't appreciate competition from other shrubs. Should you decide to plant several varieties of roses closely together in the one bed, it's important that you take into account each variety's strength, vigor and growth habit. Because you want all varieties to show themselves off to their best advantage, it would be unfortunate if one variety turned out to be a bit of a thug (albeit a beautiful one) and started trying to beat the other varieties into submission. Although you can resort to pruning to keep the stronger variety under control, situations like this are best avoided in the beginning.

Most Hybrid tea roses are prone to the usual rose diseases such as blackspot, honey fungus and rust and also the pests such as aphids, chafer beetles and sawfly larvae.

How to Conceive a Baby Girl - 3 Things You Must Do If You Want to Have a Girl

Although you can never be completely accurate about influencing the sex of a baby you are trying to conceive, many people, from the beginning of time to the present day, have tried and had their own theories on it. Some are quite laughable, like having sex on an odd day to have a boy and others, although they might sound outlandish, have some merit. The latest methods suggest there are 3 things you must do to increase your chances to conceive a baby girl.

All theories and methods rest on the characteristics of the sperm. X chromosome sperm that successfully fertilize the egg will create a baby girl. However this type of sperm is slow moving. Although it is slow, it lives longer within the female body. With these ideas in mind, you can do three things.

1. Have sex a couple of days before ovulation. This gives the girl creating sperm more of a chance to be in the right place at the right time to meet with the egg.

2. The woman should eat foods that make the body less alkaline or naturally acidic. This will allow the female creating sperm to live longer than the male sperm, hence giving more chance of conceiving a girl.

3. Along the same lines as 2, the woman should douche with a gently acidic solution before sex to give the stronger female creating sperm more of a chance to meet with the egg.

It is also speculated that the position in which you have sex can also influence the gender of your baby.牋?/p>

Decorative Rubber Stamps - An Interesting and Fun Craft

Are you thinking of starting a hobby but you have no idea as to what to do and how to start? If so, there are countless of options out there that you will probably end up confused trying to decide what works for you. If you are thinking of an inexpensive craft that will not force you to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars, and you are aiming to see fast and gratifying results then you'd best set your eyes on starting a hobby with decorative rubber stamps. This craft is relatively simple and it's a fun way to bond with your family. And the best part is, it's a hobby that's very low maintenance. You can even start now and as soon as you decide, you could be stamping in the next few hours or so! You don't have to be exceptionally creative and gifted with a wild imagination to see amazing results.

There are so many creative stuff that you can do with decorative rubber stamps. The most popular by far is making use of rubber stamps to create greeting cards and stamps on fabric. Whatever the occasion or the season is, you can create your own cards which will surely be appreciated by your loved ones since it gives a unique and personal touch. Who wouldn't want to receive a personal, handmade gift or card? Your loved ones will have no idea that it only took you a few hours to create those cards. The only materials that you'll ever need to create gorgeous cards are cardstock, some plain or fancy paper, a rubber stamp, and lots of ink in different colors. It's best if you start off with a simple creation. Don't attempt to make anything intricate and complex the first time because anything that is fancy might take a little more time to perfect.

Scrapbooking is another fun stamping hobby that you can explore. Many people are trying this craft worldwide and they find enjoyment in adding warmth and personal touches into each page. You can choose to place the stamp directly into your family photos that are glued to the scrapbook or you may choose to put stamps on different kinds of colorful papers, cut them before attaching into the scrapbook.

There are lots of different kinds of decorative rubber stamps available online. Take your pick from the offerings of many online stores. If you find yourself buying a stamp that you feel you don't need right away, don't throw them out. Eventually you will start on a different art project and you may find that you suddenly have a need for the stamp that you placed on stock somewhere. When you are making stamps or creating cards with stamps for your loved ones, don't get too caught up in making everything appear perfect. Who knows? This imperfection might make your loved ones appreciate the personalized gift or card even more. And besides you will learn a lot more from those mistakes than you ever will from reading a book or watching shows about your hobby. So what are you waiting for? Buy your first set of stamps and give it a go!

How To Negotiate With Your Family During The Holidays

Ever notice that when you get together with your family for the holidays that the same arguments and resentments bubble up through the good cheer year after year. Despite your best efforts not to let your siblings' comments bother you, you end up playing the same role in your family that you had in junior high. Here are some tips for getting along with your family this holiday season and being a grownup.

1.Concentrate on having a great holiday and don't get distracted by your emotions.

During this stressful holiday season, it is important to check your emotions at the door. Emotions such as anger or resentments lead to lack of control. You need to get past this stage if you are going to have a happy holiday. If you are the one who is angry or upset, you need to concentrate on what you what to accomplish (such as no scenes or confrontations) and not let anything stand in your way. It does not matter if you don't like a member of your family. Even if someone is rude, insulting or even baiting you, don't give him or her the satisfaction that he or she has gotten to you.

2. Look Forward Not Back. The Past Is Called The Past For A Reason.

Don't try to settle old scores during the holidays. Remember your goal is to get through the holidays without any flare-ups. Even if one of your siblings did something to you in the past that still makes you mad, get beyond that and try to live in the moment and be happy. No matter how sophisticated and worldly we have become, somehow those same roles we had in high school show through and the same old pecking order manifests itself. In this situation, dé––?vu is not a good thing.

3. Be Willing To apologize.

If you are estranged from a relative, maybe this is the year you will make the first move to reconcile. Be prepared to shoulder some of the blame even if you don't remember what the original argument was. Don't say, "I did not do anything wrong." or "It is against my principles to apologize!" That is beside the point. When considering whether to make the first move, keep in mind that people do make mistakes. Also consider that your first move may be rejected and don't be upset by that. At least you know that you made the effort and tried to take the high ground. A sincere apology, and I mean sincere, can go a long way.

4. Beware And Be Aware.

Be aware and don't let your guard down. Even if you think the holidays are going smoothly, don't be lulled into complacency. Be careful what you say and how you say it. One well-placed comment or zinger by you or someone else can spoil the whole holiday mood. Be alert to others' feelings. It is only a couple of days and you can get through it.

5.Be Thankful.

Be thankful for being able to share the holidays with your family. Remember that some of them may not be around next year or the year after and those very maddening habits you dislike now, you might even miss when they are gone. Try to remember all the good things and accentuate the positive. As my mother says, "If you can't say something nice, don't say something at all." Try saying something nice and see where it takes you. Happy Holidays.

Easy and Inexpensive Halloween Costume Ideas for Kids and Adults

Everywhere you look Halloween is in the air, and stores! Here are several easy and inexpensive Halloween costume ideas that you can make at the last minute. Kids and adults will love getting into the spirit of the holiday with dressing up as a pirate, gypsy, wizard, and a racecar driver.

These costume ideas are not expensive if you hunt for costume items at your local second hand store. And you are helping your local charity at the same time! Besides finding great clothing for your costume, you can get great accessories such as old boots, beads and costume jewelry, scarves, belts, etc. also.

A Pirate costume can be made easily with dark colored pants that are torn up to just below the knee. Commercial pirate costumes show black & white striped shirts, but pirates more commonly wore clothing they could obtain from their victims. So any solid colored shirt with long sleeves and a collar will work. If the weather is cold, add an overcoat to the effect. Black or brown boots or shoes, red bandanas or scarves, and lots of costume jewelry finish off the costume.

A gypsy costume is one of the quickest ones to put together. Obtain peasant-like clothing you can find such as full skirts, blouses or shirts with billowing sleeves, lots of scarves and costume jewelry. Layer large scarves over the skirt and shirt, and tie a scarf around the head. If you have a tambourine, carry it or hang it from a belt add to the gypsy costume.

A wizard costume is another easy Halloween costume idea! A high school or college graduation robe in black or blue works great for the wizard抯 robe. Glue on silver or white stars cut from felt or foam and any trim or braid you may have lying around. Make a wizard hat from a 15?cone made from black or blue poster board and cover with more stars. Attach to the head with bobby pins. Make a wizard抯 staff from a 4-5 foot dowel (length depends on the height of the wizard) found at the local hardware store. Secure on top of the pole a plastic ball decorated with ribbons and bells.

A Racecar Driver will be a popular costume idea this year due to the popular movies Cars and Talladega Nights. Begin with one-piece overalls that painters or construction workers wear. If you cannot find patches to glue on the suit, make them from felt. A good supplier for patches is an Army-Navy Surplus Store. A motorcycle helmet from the second-hand will finish off the look of this costume idea.

The Halloween costume ideas listed above can be finished off with a little Halloween makeup. Using white, black, blue, brown and green colors will enhance the costumes and add to the dramatic effect of the character you抳e chosen to become. Ordinary everyday makeup will work just as well as the packaged Halloween makeup. Or you can make your own smooth, thin makeup by blending one part cornstarch and two parts shortening with enough drops of food coloring to produce the appropriate shade. Use a green tint for the wizard or a brown for the pirate to give him or her the look of being out to sea too long.

Have fun with these Halloween costume ideas and let your imagination run wild!

Do This at Home When Trying to Get Pregnant

Trying to get pregnant? Here are some things you can do at the very comforts of your home to help you boost your odds of getting pregnant.

1. Eat healthy. What you do with your body affects your chances of being a parent, so make sure you are giving the best for your body to be one. Eating healthy is one of the best ways people trying to get pregnant should always keep in mind, as what you eat actually defines what can happen to you in the near future.

Why don't you learn cooking up some healthy dishes rich with fertility foods on your free time? Not only can this help you cut costs by not buying those overpriced junk from fastfood chains, but it can also help you become more suitable for pregnancy.

Having a balanced diet can also help you watch your weight. As being over or under weight can prevent you from getting pregnant, you should really mind your body when trying to get pregnant.

2. Relax. After a long, hard day at work, your body needs all the rest it can have, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Sadly, being frustrated by difficulties of getting pregnant can be in the air at your very own home, so this may be quite a challenge.

But do you know that getting stressed can hurt your chances of getting pregnant? This is why you need to really learn how to relax and avoid stress. Do this by talking the problem out with your partner, and agree on not getting too frustrated about the situation, because there's always a good solution to it, you just need to find it first. You can also try other relaxing and de-stressing activities, like getting a massage, listening to comforting music, or playing video games.

3. Exercise, but not too hard. As mentioned earlier, stress is now considered as a factor in most couple's infertility cases, so you need to counter it with different activities. Exercising is one of these things people trying to get pregnant can do.

A lot of exercises can be done at home. From practicing yoga and Pilates, to aerobics, to weight lifting and tennis, you can now do them all at the very comforts of your own home with the help of either home equipments or a gaming console. However, you must still remember that overdoing anything can cause you more stress, so just always keep your workouts at a regular pace.

4. Try sexual positions that boost the odds of conceiving. Positions like the Missionary and the Doggy are just some of the most favored positions when trying to get pregnant. Why? This is because these styles allow men to penetrate deeper, consequently letting them deposit their sperm near the egg, making it easier for the egg to get fertilized.

These are just some of the tips in trying to get pregnant that you can do at home. Just remember, though, research is your friend, so make sure you look up for some more on the web.

Your Body and Your Pregnancy - What Can You Expect

You have just had the delightful news that you are pregnant. It is understandable to wonder about the many changes your body will go through. Every woman is different but there are many things that will be common for all women. Some women will simply thrive when pregnant, others will have minor nuisance factors, but whatever happens you can always rely on your medical practitioner if there are any concerns.

Make sure you visit your dentist during your pregnancy and inform him that you are pregnant. About half of all pregnant women develop a condition called pregnancy gingivitis. No need to be concerned about this because it is only a reddening of the gums caused by the increased blood flow to the gums which is common during pregnancy. So you will need to be gentle with brushing and flossing your teeth if you have this condition as your gums will bleed easily.

It is possible that you may suffer from leg cramps because of your pregnancy, especially in the later months. This could be because of a calcium or magnesium deficiency and should be discussed with your doctor if this becomes a nuisance as he may suggest helpful supplements.

You may still be working and notice that you have to go to the toilet more often. This is perfectly natural and to be expected especially as your pregnancy progresses.

Your body is now working extra hard, growing and feeding another little life so you are bound to start feeling more tired than usual. Take the opportunity to rest as much as possible.

You have probably heard about the 'pregnancy blues'. This is because you may experience constant mood swings. Fluctuations in mood are often experienced in pregnancy because your body will be undergoing many hormonal changes. Even the strongest of women may break down in tears often and wonder what is happening. Don't worry if all part of the many processes that your body is undergoing.

Pregnancy is definitely a joyful time in a women's life, so if there are any difficulties or concerns please consult your medical practitioner who is on hand to guide you and help you at this vital time.

Mutsy 4 Rider Light Baby Stroller - Is it Worth Buying? (Pushchair Review)

The Mutsy 4 Rider is an extremely versatile pushchair that, if bought with the necessary kits, can function as a stroller, pram, and travel system. But is it a suitable pushchair for you? I've tested it and here's my verdict!

Pros

One of the things that's really great about the Mutsy is that it's so easy to push and manoeuvre, so it's great to use when you're in the city. Because of the rear pneumatic wheels and lockable swivel wheels at the front, it's great on rural areas, too. Some users often said that they can easily push and steer this Mutsy with one hand. It also performs well on stairs in fact, it's one of the easiest pushchairs to pull/push when going up/down stairs, making it perfect for those who live in flats.

A common problem for tall people is that many pushchair models seem to have been made for shorter people only. If this is your sentiment, you'll be glad to know that the 4 Rider has been designed with tall people in mind. The Mutsy's foam-covered handles adjust from 93 to 114 cm at a single click of a button - rather handy when there's a big difference between your height and your partner's, making the 4 Rider easy to push for either of you.

The storage basket is quite spacious and easy to reach and will remain accessible even when the seat is in full recline position.

For your comfort, the fabric is very easy to clean with a wet sponge, unlike some pushchair fabrics that stain horribly. The stroller is easy to fold and unfold, and it's self locking and free standing when folded.

It's got a reversible seat, and it's suitable for newborns as the seat can lay almost completely flat, but as we mentioned earlier you can attach the Mutsy carry cot to the chassis and there you have a pram. Parents we spoke to love using the carry cot with a matching Mutsy footmuff!

Cons

The folded dimensions of the Mutsy 4 Rider Light is 35 x 66 x 109 cm which is rather bulky. It can fit in the boot of a medium sized car, but leaving not much room for anything else.

It's also rather awkward to lift because it's relatively heavy (31 lbs), but of course this depends on a person's fitness. Some parents find it moderately heavy while others appreciate its weight as it gives the pushchair a more sturdy handling.

Finally, the seat recline is a bit fiddly to adjust if you use only one hand, so when you don't have both hands free, (which is often the case especially if you have more than one child) you may find this rather inconvenient.

Conclusion

The Mutsy 4 Rider Light is an excellent choice for fashion-conscious parents looking for a pushchair that embodies both looks and functionality, both design and practicality. Its extreme versatility, the quality of the comfort it brings, and its top notch performance on rough terrains make it a great Best Buy Travel System.

Choose the Gender of Your Baby - Do You Want a Baby Girl Or a Baby Boy?

Starting in the late 1940s, the idea of using the foods that you eat to choose the gender of your baby became a popular concept. There were numerous studies conducted from this point until the 1980s that led to the strengthening of this theory.

It was determined that there were certain types of foods that could help change certain reproductive aspects to make them more susceptible to conceiving a particular sex.

The results of all this research show that although it is highly important for the mother to follow a particular diet, it is also beneficial for the father to consume the same type of diet to achieve the best results. Since chromosomes are obtained by both parents, this makes sense.

These diets are designed to change the ovum barrier to allow only one type of sperm to enter, which is the Y chromosome sperm for boys and the X chromosome for girls.

In order for the dietary changes to take proper effect, and help you conceive a boy or a girl, you must start the changes some months before conception.

After learning how expensive it can be to use a fertility specialist, many parents realized that the chances of reaching this goal through home methods and dietary changes are the same. The major difference between the two was, of course, the cost.

Using a fertility specialist can cost you thousands of dollars, while dietary changes will cost you no more than what you spend now in groceries.

There are other home methods to choose the gender of you baby, and using several together increases the chances of success.

Nausea is a Good Sign in Pregnancy!

Nausea a good sign in pregnancy: yes, you read correctly!

Sounds weird? Nausea during such a stressful and draining time as a pregnancy, sounds bad, but is it really? Nausea can take a big toll on you and cause pain and depression, due to the constant vomiting which comes in a daily ritual. It sounds very bad, but to some people a morning sickness is a minor hassle, and is equal to light hiccups considering that they are taking part in a wonderful process as childbirth and child rearing. For other people, though, morning sicknesses are a hell to experience, but consider the fact that it's a very natural thing to experience, and shows of a normal state, despite its inconveniences.

There have been studies and research done to check whether morning sicknesses are a good thing to have during your pregnancy or not. The studies have seemed to discover a link that isn't proven 100 percent yet, that not having morning sicknesses or having a reduced amount increases the chances of a miscarriage. It indicates that women that experience morning sickness are more likely to be healthy and have a healthy pregnancy and baby.

Some of you out there will probably read that previous paragraph and thing that not having morning sickness, or having a reduced period of morning sickness, or weaker symptoms must mean that you will experience a miscarriage or that you are putting your baby at risk. Don't fear because it doesn't mean that.

A lot of women that experience reduced amounts and periods of the morning sickness symptoms or don't experience a morning sickness, give birth to perfectly healthy babies, and their pregnancy goes without a hitch. So don't worry too much. It's bad for you.

There will obviously be readers that conclude the same from a different perspective. They will conclude that since they are experiencing morning sicknesses than they must have a healthy baby and pregnancy, and that is - again - false. Due to the fact that they create rumors and cause harm, and some scientists have sought to quiet such inconclusive studies.

If you consider that study a positive thing to know, or if you consider it harmful, it doesn't matter, since the phase of pregnancy can depress the women that experience it in an extreme way. To prevent that and relieve the pain or depression there are numerous treatments that are available to everyone. Some of the methods are using acupuncture and other methods to ensure a painless pregnancy as much as possible. Acupuncture receives a lot of support from the scientific community and among medical professionals, which recommend acupuncture as a safe way to help alleviate the pain of a pregnancy. It is risk free and very effective immediately.

Studies also recommend drinking certain types of tea which are made from tea herbs that help reduce the stress and manage the symptoms of a prolonged pregnancy. But you also need to pay attention and be careful if you choose to intake ginger tea, due to its ability to be harmful to an individual. Consult your doctors before choosing the best treatment route for you. Anything you intend to ingest during your pregnancy needs to be looked at and decided over, because it has the ability to be harmful to you or your baby. Your life style affects your pregnancy!

Pregnancy Symptoms - Increased Fatigue

Pregnancy, the most beautiful phase in a woman's life, is a pleasant as well as painful experience. Pleasant because it has several good things in store for you and painful because these good things come at a cost. Well, we are not trying to scare you, but pregnancy is a combination of good and bad experiences. For instance, the hormonal changes may give you radiant skin and thick, long hair, but at the cost of mood swings. Similarly, the baby bump will get you a lot of pampering from your loved ones, but when the bump grows bigger, it can give a backache. Therefore, like everything else, pregnancy, too, has its pros and cons. It has some good and not so good symptoms. One such symptom that we shall discuss is increased fatigue. Let us understand what causes this condition and how it can be treated or controlled.

Causes And Solution For Pregnancy Fatigue

Hormones - Hormones play havoc among pregnant women and cause this condition. A drastic rise in the hormone progesterone leads to the feeling of exhaustion and fatigue. These hormonal changes occur during the initial phases of pregnancy, precisely during the first trimester. Later, your body will adapt itself to the hormonal change and thus the symptoms of increased fatigue will diminish.

Anxiety And Stress - These two factors can also drain your energy levels and you may feel tired or lethargic. Increased stress or anxiety about pregnancy and nervousness can cause a feeling of exhaustion. However, this stress or anxiety will only occur in the initial days of pregnancy since childbearing is a very different experience. Once the feeling of stress or anxiety is reduced, the increased fatigue symptom will also correct itself.

Treatment - There is no treatment or medication for this condition. However, there are ways to cope with it. You need to make some lifestyle changes to deal with this feeling of exhaustion and tiredness. Moreover, when you know it is a temporary phase, it becomes easy to deal with it. There are three simple ways to cope with increased fatigue: healthy diet, moderate exercise and stress-free lifestyle. To achieve a balance between these three factors, you may have to take some extra care of yourself. Eating well may sound very simple, but how many of us watch what we eat? During pregnancy, you must consult a doctor and ask for the right diet. It should include calcium, vitamins, proteins, omega 3 fatty acids and much more. Seek advice from your doctor for an ideal diet plan. Some foods are known to increase energy levels, which can help you cope with the increased fatigue. The next important thing is to practice light exercise everyday. It could be as simple as going for a walk or moderate exercise at home. However, it is important to consult your doctor for this purpose. Exercise increases immunity and improves blood circulation, which can keep you fit. The next important factor is your lifestyle. If there are too many stressors in your life, it could add to the fatigue. Try to cut down on responsibilities, both at work or at home. Allow yourself to de-stress and relax occasionally. Go for a vacation or a weekend getaway to reduce the symptoms of increased fatigue.

Best Baby Gear Strollers to Buy

When it comes time to find and purchase baby gear strollers you have many choices and options. You will come across a variety of vendors that offer many different types of baby strollers. They are available from your standard styles all the way to ones that offer many features. To find the right stroller you will have to take into consideration several factors.

One factor that will play a vital role is the type of lifestyle you have. If you live in or near a big city then you might think about buying one of a stroller that is easy to lift and maneuver. On the other hand if you reside in the suburbs then you just need to purchase a standard baby stroller. For those that like to jog or run then a jogging or running stroller would be your best option for your child. A double stroller should be on your list if you have twins or two toddlers.

The next thing you need to consider is cost. Many of the strollers on the market are packed with features that can really increase the price of baby gear strollers. You will need to look at a few of them to decide on which features you need and that is within your budget. Not everyone needs all the bells and whistles that come with some of these toddler strollers.

One last thing you need to decide on is how much space is available. You will need to know the amount of space you need not only at your home, but also the type of car. Many of these baby gear strollers will need a lot of space for storage as well as transportation. For those lacking a lot of space you should look into getting a baby gear stroller that can be easily folded.

Choosing Toys For Your Children

Throughout the year, we see advertisements for children抯 toys. These advertisements are on television, on the radio and in print, both in magazines and in the newspaper.

Of course the amount and intensity of these ads is multiplied the last few months of each year. Our experience has often been that many toys are just fads. They are promoted in a way that children are just begging to receive them, and then once received, they are often discarded after just a few uses.

Over they years, I have often opted for toys that encourage creativity or thinking. For example, we抳e always owned word games. We抳e owned Scrabble, Boggle and Word Yahtzee, both the adult versions and the children抯 versions. These games have helped my children develop a love of words. My older daughter can not be beat at Boggle. I laugh that no one will play Boggle with her, as no one can win against her.

When my kids were young we owned blocks, Duplos and Lego. Building and creating are wonderful activities for children. My kids created all types of structures. They built homes for their dolls. They would follow patterns and build robot type figures and they would just create made up structures with no real definition. They loved building and creating. When they were old enough we bought the iron on bead designs and again they would create and create. They made magnets and bookmarks galore.

Crossword puzzle books, logic puzzle books and word find books have also always been very popular in our home. Of course these types of books are for older kids, not the under 5 group. We also always bought many workbooks, which both of my kids loved to sit and work on. Under 5, we bought a lot of shapes and counting games. Both of my kids loved Candy Land. They had to match their color cards to the space on the board. They could play this for hours upon hours. We also loved the game Sorry. Reading numbers and counting spaces was fun when they were young.

Over the years we have purchased hundreds of reading books. We actually discovered used book stores when the kids were young because we just couldn抰 keep them in books. As the kids learned to read, they went through every book the library had that kids could read themselves. They read everything we had bought them and so we began visiting the used book store. Any gift giving holiday the kids knew they could expect at least a couple of books.

My final suggestion is an assortment of age appropriate art supplies. You can buy crayons, markers and paints. As my kids got older they also began loving rubber stamps. They loved making their own cards and wrapping paper with rubber stamps.

We almost always skipped the newest advertised fad and instead chose the educational and creative toys on the market.

The Popularity of Bachmann Model Trains

Just why are Bachmann model trains so popular? Well, this company is one of the oldest and best trusted makers of trains and their accessories in the entire world. It's a leader in model trains, and has stood out while other companies have struggled to retain a market. This company offers a huge selection of scales from G, or garden scales to minuscule Z scales suited for a desktop.

Hobbyists can find plenty of accessories from Bachmann trains, regardless of experience level. This company is one that works to make your hobby a lot easier, including products like the E-Z track. These tracks include the base and rails in a single, grounded unit. Just snap together the ends and use the predrilled holes to attach them to your workbench permanently. Other items from Bachmann are just as easy, from power supplies to controllers. Color coding makes things even simpler.

There are plenty basic sets available when it comes to Bachmann model trains. Reasonably priced at around a hundred dollars each, these sets are ready to run. Bachmann's Santa Fe Flyer train set in HO scale features an EMD FT diesel locomotive that includes a functioning headlight, as well as two freight cars, a caboose, and enough track to produce a three foot circle. This set also includes the speed controller and power pack, with a full illustrated manual. It retails for just under ninety-three dollars, but can be found for half as much on sale.

You can also get plenty of specialty Bachmann model train sets, including Thomas the Tank Engine, holiday sets, and trains with lights and music. Other sets include model train kits that you can build yourself, and lots of track to help you make expanded layouts. Add in a great accessory line with plenty of scenery packs, vehicles, figurines and buildings in perfect scale with plenty of detail, and you'll soon see why this train company is one of the best. Lighted and musical accessories are common, with color coded power supply setups.

It's not hard to find cars or engines for your Bachmann trains. The company produces some of the more unusual accessory cars, too, including tankers, freight cars, caboose cars, Gandy cars and trolleys. All of them are compatible with other trains from Bachmann, and look just as good as their more common sets.

Last, but not least, Bachmann model trains can be found just about anywhere. That means that if you're interested in these great model trains, they can be found where ever you need them. Bachmann even has their own website. You can also shop at local hobby stores and see the trains in person. Take the time to check out these great trains. They're an important part of the hobby, and this company is one of the best and most reliable.
